Amy Lee is a litigation attorney with over 20 years of experience. She is the founder and principal attorney at the Law Offices of Amy P. Lee, where she specializes in personal injury, employment law and civil rights litigation. Ms. Lee has a proven track record of success in representing her clients, and has been recognized by her peers for her work. Ms. Lee also has extensive experience as employment law consultant for businesses throughout the state. She is a graduate of Loyola Law School. In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Lee is also a community leader having served on several boards. She is currently the elected Treasurer for the City of Monterey Park. Ms. Lee is a strong advocate for her constituents, and she is committed to making Monterey Park a better place to live, work, and raise a family. Anita Chu has served as Superintendent at Garvey School District for 16 years. She received the 2018 Cal State L.A. Distinguished Educator and Community Service Award. Raised in Hong Kong, Ms. Chu has firsthand experience as an English learner. She completed a Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential program and subsequently obtained a master’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles.

Bryant Y. Yang is a Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, where he prosecuted federal cases involving public corruption, international drug trafficking and cartels, money laundering, and financial crimes. He also served as a senior litigation attorney at Irell & Manella, LLP, specializing in criminal defense and business litigation. He was the Deputy Director of Voter Protection for Organizing for America in Nevada. Judge Yang was a judicial law clerk for U.S. Ninth Circuit Judge Barry G. Silverman and U.S. District Judge S. James Otero. He also served as a Special Prosecutor and Special Counsel for the City Attorneys’ Offices of Burbank and Glendale, respectively. He started his career as an associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP, practicing patent litigation. He grew up in the City of Monterey Park and previously served as Chair of the Recreation and Parks Commission.

Hans Liang serves as a Deputy Probation Officer for the LA County Probation Department. Throughout his 20+ year career, Mr. Liang has worked with many at-risk-youth from various communities in the county and has always been a strong advocate for youth programs. Serving as a past board member for the Asian Youth Center (AYC), Mr. Liang has conducted numerous training for staff as well as parents on topics such as gang awareness, communication skills, adolescent development, and research-based interventions. Mr. Liang also serves as the elected President of AFSCME Local 685 - LA County Probation Officers Union representing nearly 3000 union members throughout LA County.

Paul Talbot has had many titles associated with his career over the past 30 years because he has simultaneously shared his time in both the private and the public sectors. Mr. Talbot has been a former franchisee of Wendy’s and Denny’s Restaurants, a real estate developer, a Principal at Gateway Consultants, and a founding director of California General Bank in Pasadena. He is the owner and principal of the Talbot Consulting Group which assists businesses interacting with local government agencies. Mr. Talbot is also the former City Manager of Monterey Park where some of his major accomplishments included development of the Market Place Shopping Center along the 60 Freeway anchored by Costco & Home Depot. He also oversaw the recruitment of the 288 room Courtyard by Marriott on Atlantic Blvd and the 10 Freeway. Additionally, Mr. Talbot orchestrated a major reconstruction of city’s parks, water and sewer system, and roadway improvements. Mr. Talbot is a former elected official, having served as Mayor and Councilman in the City of Alhambra, where he is credited as being one of the architects of its economic redevelopment.

Rick Eng serves as a program manager for Special Service for Groups, Inc. (SSG), a Los Angeles-based health and human services organization founded more than 70 years ago. He is SSG's representative to the Los Angeles County program known as LAvsHATE to combat county-wide hate aggression, biases, discrimination and bullying. Mr. Eng manages the LAvsHATE Rapid Rapid Response Network of 14 service agencies and community nonprofits dedicated to working with communities to unite against, resist and report. He also serves as National Vice President for Civic and Public Affairs for the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (C.A.C.A.) and is president of the Los Angeles Chapter of C.A.C.A. Mr. Eng is on the Board of Directors for OCA-Greater Los Angeles and the Emeritus Board for the Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF).

Ricky Choi is currently Director of Government and Community Relations at the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments, a regional government planning agency that aims to maximize the quality of life in the San Gabriel Valley. He has nearly two decades of extensive experience in public affairs, local and state government, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications. Active in civic and community organizations, Mr. Choi serves as a Planning Commissioner in the City of Monterey Park and is President of the Board of Directors for the Asian Youth Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower low-income, immigrant, and at-risk youth, of all communities, to overcome barriers to success through the provision of culturally and linguistically competent education, employment, and social services.
